Descended From Patriots
Henry Sleight House, Stockade District, Kingston, Ulster County
The Wiltwyck Chapter of the National Society for the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was established in 1892. The longtime organization operates out of the Henry Sleight House in the historic Stockade District of Kingston. The NSDAR is a “non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children.” Members of the organization must be able to prove “lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.”
