Hanging out at the bridge

A group of friends hang out on a late summer night at Charles Rider Park along the Hudson River under the lights of the Kingston-Rhinecliff bridge. The beautiful park is named for Charles Rider, who served as the town supervisor for nearly 10 years from 1978 to 1987.

The Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, also known as the George Clinton Memorial Bridge, spans the Hudson River, connecting the city of Kingston in Ulster County to the rural hamlet of Rhinecliff in Dutchess County. The bridge was constructed in 1957. In 2000 the bridge was renamed in honor of George Clinton, New York’s first Governor and the fourth Vice President of the United States.
