Vintage postcard titled "Colcord's Flowing Artesian Well"

Colcord's Flowing Artesian Well

Colcord's Flowing Artesian Well. As water cannot rise above its level, this must come from the hills, It is now flowing twelve feet higher than the lake and flows twenty four feet higher when piped that high.

This wonderful flowing artesian well of pure, crystal, cold and satisfying water, on the property of Mr. Samuel Colcord, in Daydreams Park, Lake Kiamesha, N. Y., drilled in rock 110 feet below the surface, flows in a perpetual stream through an eight inch pipe 90,000 gallons per day and rises 26 feet above the ground. Over the rock is a 24 foot stratum of blue clay which makes it impossible for any surface drainage ever to pollute this health giving water. Hundreds of people come to drink of it daily.
