"Pictures! Pictures!! The undersigned respectfully announces to the public that he has returned to his former quarters in this place, viz: the rooms in DAVIS' BUILDING, at the corner of Main and Partition Sts., formerly occupied by him, and more recently by Thorn, and Whitaker, where he purposes to spend a short time, to accommodate his old friends and patrons and all those who may desire, with real, life-like, artistic LIKENESSES, executed n the style of the very latest improvements in the art.

The subscriber has spared no pain or expense to keep pace with this beautiful art in its onward march of improvement, and he flatters himself that from the experience of seven years, constant practice and study of the art, he can furnish a style of pictures unsurpassed for beauty, correctness and durability. The muddy appearance heretofore characteristic of AMBROTYPES is now entirely obviated, and every part is now represented in its true color. I have purchased the right to take those beautiful pictures on iron called MELAINOTYPES, and am prepared to execute all orders for that style of pictures. This style of pictures, being very thin and light, can be sent through the mail to any part of the world, subject to no extra postage. Now is the time, you that have friends dwelling at a distance to send your likeness at the entire expense of fifty cent and postage. The prettiest Christmas or New Year's present you can bestow on a friend is a picture of yourself, executed in the inimitable style of the subscriber.

The success of the undersigned in taking pictures of children is sure and the most restless brat can be transferred to a a plate in a twinkling. Children should be presented in the fore part of the day.

All wishing to avail themselves of the opportunity of the subscriber's stay, must come soon, as his stay is altogether dependent on his encouragement.

Don't forget, Davis' Brick Building, corner of Main and Partition Streets, Saugerties.

Call and compare.

L. B. Silver."
