The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is scenically located just north of the hamlet of Bethel in Sullivan County, New York.

The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is home to the site where the historic Woodstock Music & Art Fair took place on August 15-18 1969. The concert featured 32 of the most famous musical acts of the era including the Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin, The Who, Jimi Hendrix and many more. Over 400,000 concert-goers made their way to the rural country hamlet for the show. At the time, it was the largest concert audience ever assembled. The Woodstock Music & Art Fair It is widely considered to be one of the pivotal moments of the 1960s and in the history of music.
