Mountain Drive In
Loch Sheldrake
The Mountain Drive-In is an abandoned two screen, drive in movie theater off Route 52 between Liberty and Loch Sheldrake. The theater opened in 1949 on part of an old farm and had a capacity for 520 cars. It was the first drive-in movie theater in Sullivan County. The admission price on opening night was 60 cents, which included a double feature of “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” and “Phantom of the Opera”. It closed after the 1997 season.
