Callicoon Coal Silos
The charming hamlet of Callicoon, located on the Delaware River, is home to this iconic twin set of coal silos. Located on Lower Main Street, the concrete silos were used to store coal that was delivered from the trains of the Erie Railroad. The silos were constructed circa 1928 and are included on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Callicoon Downtown Historic District.
