Rosendale, Ulster County

Bernie Sanders has a long, distinguished career in public service, serving as the mayor of Burlington, Vermont (1981-1989); as a Congressman for the state of Vermont (1991-2007); and as US Senator for the state of Vermont (2007-current). In 2015/16 Sanders campaigned for the Democratic nomination for the President of the United State, but despite his strong showing he eventually lost to Hillary Clinton. This Rosendale billboard humorously supported Sanders with illustrations of the Sesame Street characters Bert and Ernie and the expression “Love’s in Need of Love Today.”
