The Phoenicia Pharmacy, a longtime anchor of Phoenicia’s Main Street, is a throwback in time, both on the outside and inside. On the outside, you will find two antique marquee signs and, peaking through the front windows, you will see sun faded postcards, greeting cards, art and other general merchandise. On the inside you will find friendly service along with 1950s era music, old-fashioned games, and receipts still made by hand. I have been visiting Phoenicia since the early 1980s and I don’t think the pharmacy, along with several other businesses along Phoenicia’s Main Street, has changed one bit. It’s as if time stood still. And that is just another reason why I love this hamlet so much.
