"Excelsior Ambrotypes! Mr. Wm. Schermerhorn would respectfully inform the citizens of Saugerties and its vicinity that he has again leased the Daguerreian Rooms which he formerly occupied, and lately in possession of L. B. Silver, in Davis' Brick building, corner of Main and Partition streets, and is now prepared to supply the lovers of this beautiful art with a New Style of Photographic Picture,

Which he believes has not yet been given to the public, and which he claims himself to be the first to introduce. This picture very much resembles a painting on ivory, and for brilliancy, softness of tone and durability, we have no hesitation in saying that it has no equal. He will likewise supply them with Daguerreotypes, Ambrotypes, Melainotypes, and most any kind of Photographic Picture they may desire. Having the experience of about ten years the Daguerreian Art and being thoroughly acquainted with all the late improvements, he flatters himself that he will be able to please all who may favor him with their patronage.

A full supply of the choicest kinds of stock constantly on hand. Prices as cheap as the cheapest, and pictures as good as the best, is our motto.

Also, a supply of Pins, Rings, Lockets, Seals, & c., constantly on hand. Those having old pictures can depend upon having them copied in the best manner. Sick or deceased persons taken at their residences.

WM. SCHERMERHORN, Saugerties, May 1st, 1859."
