Pratt Rock
Pratt Rock Park, near Prattsville, Catskills
The 20 acre Pratt Rock Park is perhaps best known for the stone carvings depicting the life of Zadock Pratt, a local 19th century tannery owner and founder of Prattsville. However, the lesser known overlook located above the carvings is the best part of the park in my opinion, offering one of the best views in all of the Catskills. The overlook is easily accessible with a ½ mile hike along a not-too-steep, not-too-rocky trail. Pratt Rock Park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
