Million Dollar View

The Million Dollar View is a famous vantage point that earns its name and reputation sitting high on a hill with a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and an incredible backdrop of the Catskill Mountains.

The view is accessible from the Spring Farm trailhead at the Mohonk Preserve. The 287-acre Spring Farm parcel was purchased by the Mohonk Preserve in 1982.

The Spring Farm was a historic subsistence farm operated by the Mohonk Mountain House, supplying the resort with meat and dairy products. The Mohonk Mountain House operation was supported by a assembly of once smaller subsistence farms on both sides of the ridge, including five big centrally-managed farm operations, including the Brook Farm, the Pine Farm, the Kleinkill Farm, the Spring Farm and the Chapel Farm, the first four now owned by the Mohonk Preserve.
