The Windham Path is a beautiful trail in the village of Windham, New York that journeys through peaceful fields, meanders alongside idyllic woodlands, crosses a magnificent covered bridge, offers views of the pristine Batavia Kill, all while providing picturesque views of the surrounding great northern Catskills.

There are two sections of the path. One section is a 1.5-mile loop trail that can be accessed from a parking area on Route 23. This section of the trail officially opened on Memorial Day in 2013. The second section is a 1/2-mile trail that connects the business area of Windham at the intersection of Route 295 and South Street to the first phase loop. The second section of the path officially opened on Memorial Day in 2015.

The relatively flat, multi-use path is open to foot travel and bicycles in the summer, and cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. There is often an abundance of wildflowers in the fields during the spring and summer.

Trailhead parking can be found at two locations. One parking area is located off Route 23 to the east of the village of Windham, about 0.7 miles east of the Route 23 and Route 296 intersection. A second parking area is located off Route 296 near the intersection of South Street. A 0.5-mile trail connects the Route 296 parking area to the 1.5-mile loop trail.
